Coach Jeremy has a gift for making adult beginner swimmers feel comfortable and confident in the water. His patience and gentle encouragement have helped me overcome my fears and learn to swim. Thank you for being an incredible coach and helping so many adults achieve their swimming goals!

Coach Jonathan is very patient and reassuring. Ellie started off so afraid to put her head under water but after only a few lessons, she is able to jump into the pool confidently. She looks forward to her weekly swim lessons now!

Jonathan has personally taken a child who was terrified of water and turned him into a child who is completely comfortable and confident around water.

My kids have been learning swimming with Jonathan for 1.5 years now and both are making good progress. My son was afraid to put his head under water initially, but under Jonathan’s patient and skilful instruction, he is now a confident swimmer. Thanks Jonathan!

Our kids have been taught by Swim Movement for 5 years. They like all the teachers who have trained them - Jeremy, Jonathan and Dickson. The teachers are not only patient but they also make swimming fun to learn. Our boys have developed good swimming skills under the excellent guidance of their teachers.

Jonathan Sir has motivated my son to swim better post his basketball arm injury. He has helped increase Jai's stamina and will power. Jai is able to swim faster and has been able to correct his strokes.

We are so grateful to have found a swimming instructor like Jonathan. His teaching approach is tailored to each child and works on identifying individual strengths and weak areas. With his ever encouraging and friendly nature, my daughters throughly enjoy their lessons and are progressing quickly. Thank you Jonathan!

I remembered it was back then when the kids are 3yo, their water confidence was zero. Whenever we go for water activities, they are always scared and feeling uncomfortable with water.
While we are cracking our head on how to help the kids to build confidences, we came across SMI and we thought it might be a good idea to let them learn a life skill and at the same time building water confidences.
Jeremy provides baby steps learning and using interesting and encouraging teaching method to interest the kids while delivering the lesson. I have seen my kids improving as the lesson continues till now. In the beginning, we need to be in the pool with the kids to give them confidences and get them familiar with Jeremy. Slowly, we are out of the picture as the kids are very comfortable with Jeremy's teaching.
Recollecting the days where they are so scared of water and now, they can do freestyle, backstroke in laps. It is really amazing and I really thanks Jeremy and SMI for that.
I look forward for my kids to further sharpen their swimming skills with Jeremy and SMI.

Jeremy definitely 1 of the most patience instructor I ever seen. He has also guide us (parents) how to build water confidence with my child other than during his lesson. My child also begin to enjoy his swim class learn through play.

My son, Jordan, learnt to swim fomr Jereny when he was 8 years old. With autism, Jordan was easily distracted and had difficulties understanding instructions. Jeremy was very patient and accomodating towards him, often finding ways to engage him. Jordan learnt to swim all 4 strokes under Jeremy's coaching and participated in his first competition a year later. He won 2 gold medals and the "Best Individual Performance (Boy)" award for his age category.
Jordan turns 15 this year and is still swimming competitively.
All these would not have been possible without Jeremy's coaching and encouragement during the early years of Jordan's swimming journey.

Kayla came home smiling and told me proudly that she learned how to blow through her nose in the water.
She then shared with me that she wanted to be a swimming instructor just like you and to teach people how to swim :).
Thank you for impacting and for creating such a positive experience for her.

It's our 4th time to join the swimming class with Coach Jonathan, so far my son's enjoying every session with him. Coach Jonathan's personality is fatherly, patience,hv sense of humor, and gv clear guidance to my son. Now my son has more confidence to be in the swim pools without an armband and he is able to swim by himself with swim noodle foam.

Our children, B (7yo) and D (5yo) started their swimming classes with Jonathan early last year. I’m happy to say that their water confidence have improved by leaps and bounds, and B is now able to swim by herself for a short distance. Jonathan has a way with kids and is super patient; he knows how to put them at ease especially when they are afraid of water. My children definitely enjoy their classes with him!

Not only is Jeremy patient with our son while injecting as much fun as possibly into his classes, he also explains the background learning skill sets and why it is being taught to the parents to make them understand more of the importance and relevance of his actions. If there was a rating for him it would be 100%! Having him come to our Chinese Garden condo makes life so much easier, as even a 1 MRT stop distance would be adding an hour to the experience due to the "baby effect"!

K has been with Coach Jeremy since 2017 and he has just managed to complete 1 lap on his own without any flippers or aid. It might seem like such a small feat to others but it has been a long and strenuous journey for K who has mild cerebral palsy. He couldn't have done it without Coach Jeremy's patience and encouragement over the years, helping K to overcome his fear of water and gradually building up his stamina in water. We have had other coaches before but none has a true understanding and patience towards K's condition like Coach Jeremy. Grateful to Coach Jeremy and happy to have K learn from him for as long as possible!

I am mother to my now 15 year old teen girl with special needs. Jarene is born with a condition known as Mobius Syndrome which affects her ability to swallow, limits facial muscle movement and so limits facial expression , affects clarity of speech. She also has shorter attention span, sensory integration needs, Low muscle tone and poor balance. Her cognition however, is not affected. Due to her complex profile, we couldn’t find a swimming instructor willing to teach her . Even doctors were nervous about writing a recommendation and some people criticised me for having unrealistic expectations for a child who cannot swallow. My perspective was different. I believe it is even more important for a child who cannot swallow, to have water survival skills. I also believe swimming is the most accessible sport that can help Jarene get fit , toning and strengthening her muscles with the use of water instead of dealing with gravity on land. We got to know Coach Jeremy in the year 2014 when my girl , Jarene was only 7 years old. After learning about Jarene’s profile and background and my learning goals for her through swimming, coach Jeremy assured me that he will be happy to help jarene learn how to swim. I was grateful as he has a willing heart that looks beyond Jarene’s limitations. I was assured also because he has experience working with students who have special needs and was even an educator in a special education school before. He has worked with children and teens who have cerebral palsy, autism, attention deficit disorder , aside from also being experienced teaching neurotypical clients . Under Coach Jeremy’s dedicated and consistent coaching, holistic guidance and training , his patience and encouragement has helped Jarene not only to know how to float on water but also to swim front crawl, back stroke and froggy style (breast stroke) . My daughter swims better than I do now. Coach Jeremy stands out from other swimming instructors because he sees the child as a holistic individual first and assess her needs from a developmental angle instead of focusing only on the swimming sport and the strokes. He helps to identify areas of weakness and even recommends land sports and exercises to complement what the body fitness needs eg. Core muscles strengthening , pelvic muscles, motor plan, reducing primitive reflexes etc. I am grateful for his dedication to his vocation and to his clients. Always putting their well being first and never stopping to improve his own understanding and learning to find novel ways to help his clients. Both Jarene and I are pleased to recommend Coach Jeremy to anyone who needs a swimming instructor who can be trusted to help you develop to your best potential in swimming and fitness. He sees ability first, not your limitations.
